Please note the following information before registering:
All amounts are payable in Australian dollars and include GST.
Registration for Tencon'05 is per person attending, not per paper accepted.
Payments must be by approved Credit Card, or else by a Bank Cheque drawn on an Australian Bank. Cash payments will be received only at the conference registration desk. Please do not send cash by mail. Cheque payment details are available at the Payment section of the Online Registration System. Cheques should be made payable to Monash University.
The conference registration fees (excluding student concessions) include attendance at the Welcome Reception and the Conference Dinner, entry to all plenary and technical sessions, morning and afternoon teas and lunch, a program and Book of Abstracts and a CDROM of the Conference Proceedings. The Graduate and Undergraduate Student Concession registration fee includes all of the above except the Conference Dinner. Student tickets for the dinner can be purchased separately when registering.
Additional copies of the Proceedings CDROM will be available for purchase at $35.00 each.
The pre-conference Tutorials and entry to the Dinner and Welcome Reception for non-registrants are charged separately at the rates shown.
The "Early Bird Payment" discount is available for all payments received in full not later than 25 September 2005.
Participating Technical Societies are The Institution of Engineers, Australia (Engineers Australia); The Institution of Electrical Engineers (UK) (IEE); and the Telecommunications Society of Australia (TSA), respectively.
All registrants applying for the Member Discount or Concession fees must supply the relevant Membership details. Student registrants must supply a student number and supervisor details.
All Discount and Concession fees shown above are net totals. No compound discounts will be provided. No Day Registrations are available for the main conference.
Visa Information
People seeking to attend, or participate in, a conference or event in Australia should, in most cases, apply for a short stay business visitor visa (subclass 456).
A visa can be obtained electronically, using the Electronic Travel Authority system. For more information on the Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs' Electronic Travel Authority system, please visit www.immi.gov.au/eta . Alternatively, Non ETA-eligible event registrants must request and complete an application form (form 456) in order to apply to attend an event in Australia. Further information is available from the Australian Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs.
All delegates who require a sponsorship letter for obtaining a visa, please direct your request to chair.victorian@ieee.org Please include your paper's EDAS number and title and the full name and address to send the letter to. Letters can be posted or faxed (not emailed at this stage), please include a fax number if you require the letter urgently.
